Compensation Supervisor supervises a team working on compensation plans and programs and related analysis. Oversees common compensation projects, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, pay program administration and other associated initiatives. Being a Compensation Supervisor ensures that compensation plans and programs are consistent with organizational policies and all applicable federal and state laws. Maintains salary structures and company compensation policies. Additionally, Compensation Supervisor is responsible for survey participation and compensation analysis. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a manager. The Compensation Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Summary

    The Production Supervisor oversees and coordinates the efforts of the hourly production employees.  They ensure that product specifications are met with a high standard of quality.  They are responsible to make sure compliance is met with all standards, policies, regulations, for the safe, environmentally sound production of a quality product. 

    Essential Functions

    • Working closely with plant staff to provide a safe working environment.
    • Responsible for meeting plant and company objectives.
    • Performing day-to-day operations on the production floor with constant emphasis on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
    • Running production lines and machines when employees are absent, or the plant is shorthanded with workers.
    • Assuring conformance of finished product to company, industry, and customer specifications at minimum cost and optimum efficiency.
    • Directing, teaching, coaching, and training of production employees.
    • Being responsible to maintain shop floor metrics, visual controls, and continuous improvement methods to the manufacturing floor.
    • Supervision of production associates including performance reviews, onboarding, discipline, and terminations.
    • Monitoring and administering attendance and vacation.
    • Ability to function in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Possessing strong leadership skills with a desire to move up in the organization.
    • Having in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and improvement processes.
    • Ability to effectively implement change.
    • Possessing knowledge of safety, health, and environmental rules, laws, requirements, and applicable Signode policies.
    • Demonstrating problem-solving skills.
    • Effective abilities in leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to effectively manage time and resources.
    • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Other duties as assigned by plant manager.
    • Wearing all proper PPE and follow all safety regulations/procedures.

    Position Qualifications

    Education: High School diploma or GED, with accredited BS degree preferred.

    Experience: 5 years of manufacturing experience.

    • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • OR Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
