Compensation Manager leads the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, policies, and procedures. Manages common compensation functions, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, pay program administration and other associated initiatives. Being a Compensation Manager ensures that base pay, incentive pay and performance management programs remain competitive and conform to current compensation strategy. Directs data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Manager requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Compensation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     • Support compensation strategy by crafting, recommending, implementing, and maintaining base salary, variable pay, and equity programs
    • Oversee the merit review cycle and annual incentive cycles, transforming routing into opportunities for impactful changes
    • Drive change management, process improvement, communications and engagement initiatives, ensuring our teams are not just compensated but inspired
    • Engage strategically in compensation surveys, actively collecting and analyzing competitive salary data to inform and enhance our competitive position
    • Initiate market pricing and job evaluation activities, including matching internal positions to external data and formulating recommendations
    • Meticulously maintain job info in our HRIS
    • Conduct global pay practice audits, ensuring that our compensation practices align with international regulations
    • Collaborate across the People on blended projects and activities
    • Participate in sales compensation plan management, including eligibility determinations and plan design, to help shape them as integral elements of our success story


    Who You Are – The Essentials

    • 5 or more years of total rewards or compensation experience
    • Knowledge of US federal, state and local regulations and compliance requirements as they apply to base compensation and incentive compensation programs
    • Broad, practical knowledge of compensation and HRIS techniques and methods
    • Exceptional analytical skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data and statistics associated with compensation tasks
    • Highly organized, able to multitask with the ability to prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, and quickly adapt to change
