Compensation Director is responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of the organization's compensation programs, including base pay, incentive pay, and performance management programs. Leads the compensation function and works with senior management to ensure that compensation strategy and programs support the organization's business objectives, meet all legal requirements, and deliver value and equitable pay. Being a Compensation Director develops compensation budget for assigned areas and manages budget after it is approved. Establishes data collection and analysis processes for market, pay equity, and other compensation studies. Additionally, Compensation Director may be responsible for entire organization or for one or more major segments of a larger organization. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Compensation Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Compensation Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Accountabilities:

    As the Sr. Director of State and Federal Public Health Policy, you will lead the development and execution of data-driven policy strategies and plans aimed at increasing patient access to our world-class medicines, including vaccines. You will build programs and initiatives that educate internal stakeholders, influence major policy initiatives, cultivate relationships with federal and state agency officials, supervise agency partners, manage budgets, and develop public policy positions and strategies. You will also play a leading role in managing trade association work groups to represent the company’s interests.

    Essential Skills/Experience:

    • Bachelors Degree required
    • 10 years of relevant work experience in public policy, public affairs, government affairs, public health, vaccines policy, or issues management or relevant work experiences
    • Experience juggling multiple priorities and deadlines on intricate, critical issues
    • Experience in artfully facilitating senior leader interactions
    • Understanding of and experience working as expert with or adjacent to the pharma sector
    • Expertise in distilling sophisticated policy concepts into plain language
    • Skilled at managing cross-functional partner relations in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work on both strategy and execution
    • Deep understanding of the federal/state legislative and regulations process

    Desirable Skills/Experience:

    • Advanced Degree, such as J.D., M.P.P. or M.P.H.
    • An understanding of the drug reimbursement process, including both US commercial and public payors
    • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
    • Experience working on Capitol Hill, at a Federal agency or at The White House
