OVERVIEW:
The Volunteer and Community Relations Manager is a full-time position with responsibilities for the development, implementation and oversight of agency program volunteer initiatives as well as representing the agency in agency and community events, presentations and media events. S/he is responsible for the recruitment, screening, and placement of volunteers. This position also helps coordinate special events, fundraisers and donations. Periodically, this position requires evening or weekend hours for special events, presentations, etc.

Candidates must be autonomously mobile; possess a youth positive attitude; understand asset development, service learning and social capital concepts; possess the ability to communicate well both orally and in writing; have knowledge of techniques and resources needed to recruit, train and maintain volunteers and be familiar with the youth service delivery systems. Must have access to a vehicle and possess a valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier. In addition, must have the following automobile insurance: Bodily Injury $100,000/$300,000 and $50,000 Property Damage. Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related area and 3 years of related experience; or A.A.S. in Human Services plus 3 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
