Community Relations Manager manages programs supporting the corporate strategy designed to promote and represent the organization and brand as a socially responsible force in the community. Creates and plans outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community and produce a positive impact to address local issues. Being a Community Relations Manager collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to develop clear objectives and deliver meaningful and measurable results. Supports community relations programs' entire life cycle, including coordinating events, managing volunteers, and executing grant proposals. Additionally, Community Relations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Community Relations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Relations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. What YOU’LL Do:
- Coordinate and execute a community awareness plan that involves building partnerships and sharing stories to support and advance Mosaic’s mission.
- Cultivate church related activities to enhance awareness and establish contacts throughout the local faith community.
- Build and execute targeted community awareness campaigns and develop strong donor relationships.
- Nurture donor relationships and solicit gifts and contributions
- Collaborate with national office support teams to research, prepare and submit grant proposals and applications for funding.
What YOU’LL Need:
- A resourceful and solution-oriented mindset
- Motivation to thrive in a dynamic and growing organization
- Two years’ experience in a similar position
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or a related field
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while communicating honestly about your timelines, challenges and questions.
- Previous experience with grant writing, volunteer management, and experience with nonprofit fundraising

Schedule/Location: Hours are typically 9 am to 5pm Mon- Friday. Some early mornings, evenings and weekends may be required when there are events occurring. This is a shared position between the Macomb and Pontiac agencies.
