Community Health Director is responsible for developing plans for community-based health programs aimed at the prevention of disease and promotion of health. Recommends community health initiatives, policy implications and best practices after reviewing health literature and statistics. Being a Community Health Director identifies community health program related grant funding and develops grant proposals. Manages specific community health programs from planning and design through implementation and evaluation. Additionally, Community Health Director requires a master's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a top management. The Community Health Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. About the Position
Works under general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and in collaboration with the Senior Leadership, and dental teams. The Dental Director is responsible for administering, maintaining, expanding, and overseeing the dental practice, while also clinically practicing as a General Dentist.
Qualifications/Skills
· Graduation from an accredited dental school
· Unrestricted license to practice in the State of Vermont
· Medicare and Medicaid provider qualified.
· Ability to maintain appropriate clinical privileges required.
· Minimum of two years clinical experience or GRP, AEGD or DPH preferred.
· At least two years’ experience working with underserved / indigent populations and community-based programs.
