Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist coordinates initiatives designed to promote and represent the organization and brand as a socially responsible force in the community. Administers outreach programs that engage, support, and collaborate with the community to develop and expand relationships. Being a Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist serves as the organization's liaison with various constituents and stakeholders. Assists with the coordination of events, managing volunteers, and applying for grants. Additionally, Community Engagement and Outreach Specialist typically requires a bachelor's degree. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT SPECIALIST: Responsible for the development and implementation of a promotional and outreach plan for the SSG Fox Program. The goals is to create awareness about the SSG Fox Program in the communities served, provide education and veteran suicide prevention and locate veterans who are in need of the SSG Fox Program Services. The work requires considerable contact with general public, external community members, and WCAP employees. The Community engagement Specialist is expected to perform any and all work schedules or attendance or duty requirements which may be established by the SSG Fox Program.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must have at least a four-year degree in communications, social work, public health or related field. Knowledge in outreach and even coordination a plus.
STARTING PAY: $17.28 TO $17.97
BENEFITS: Health, life, long term disability, 401-K retirement plan, accrued sick leave and vacation and holiday pay. Mileage reimbursement: IRS rate.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must have driver's license, vehicle insurance, must be willing to travel.
