The Community Engagement Specialist will work closely with the Community Engagement Manager to plan and execute stakeholder engagement activities for communities where we currently operate or are seeking a newly permitted location. The Community Engagement Specialist will work in collaboration with the growth team to research new communities and assist in the coordination of community engagement initiatives. The Community Engagement Specialist will develop and maintain relationships with organizations, government agencies, and the community through effective communications strategies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
50% of job: Partner with Community Engagement Manager in planning, implementing and community engagement activities that support company-wide permitting efforts. Actively work to create opportunities that increase brand awareness, display our mission and values, and support the development of trusting relationships.
35% of job: Coordinate and prepare brand ambassadors / Luck associates in the successful execution of community engagement efforts. while providing unique exposure to companywide growth initiatives to help with projects or events in the community. Coordinating activities with local government agencies, businesses, schools, and other community organizations. Special projects as required.
15% of job: Active interactions with community leaders to collect feedback from members of the community about their needs and concerns, apply learning to support the development of new programs or improve existing ones. Collect stakeholder data and support the Community Engagement Team to maintain a database of community leaders, stakeholders, and influencers.
10% of the job: Manage schedules to ensure success - prompt communication with stakeholders, meeting commitments and critical deadlines. Offer recommendations to simplify workflow and act on manager’s behalf, as necessary.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Work Experience: 5 years of industry experience
