Community Development Representative implements the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. The First Tennessee Development District in Johnson City Tennessee is accepting applications for the position of Community Planner. Major responsibilities include providing planning related assistance to local governments and planning commissions. Knowledge of Tennessee’s Public Chapter 1101 of 1998 and ability to provide related assistance is required. Applicants must possess the ability to develop mapping tools for local governments. Applicants are also responsible for environmental review oversight with environmental reviews, for the various projects throughout the District’s Housing, Economic and Community Development and Industrial Development Programs ensuring FTDD compliance with all environmental contracts assigned to the District by various state and federal agencies. Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in Planning, Public Administration or related field or significant related experience is required. GIS experience is desirable but not required. Ability to work closely with others, knowledge of organization and structure of local, state and federal government is highly desirable.
