Community Development Representative implements the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Community Development Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Acquires information about potential local, state and federal funding sources and responsible for the development, submittal and administration of any resulting loan/grant application.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor degree in Public Administration, Business Administration or Planning is preferred.
- Associate degree in Public Administration, Business, Administration, Planning or closely related fields combined with skills and experience will be considered.
- Competitive benefits including employer paid Health, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance policies for employee. Employer paid Dental and Vision insurance for eligible employee dependents. KRADD also offers retirement benefits through Kentucky State Retirement and Kentucky Deferred Compensation. Annual salary begins at $32,000 with a 5% wage increase after a successful six-month probationary period. Tuition discounts with Lindsey Wilson College available to KRADD employees and their immediate family members on applicable programs. Employees receive paid annual holidays and accrue annual and sick leave monthly.
- Applicants must have good working knowledge of computers and software applications. Possesses good written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of reporting and vital record keeping requirements; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, public, and elected officials.
- Must have valid driver’s license. A competency test and criminal records check will be required before interviewing with the Personnel Committee of the KRADD.
