Community Development Representative implements the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Community Development Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     CAC is seeking a qualified full-time Development Director.  This position is responsible for developing and managing a comprehensive integrated program of fundraising & development.  Night and weekend work is required as needed.    
     
    General Responsibilities (full job description will be provided upon interview): ·         
    • Organizes and oversees donation drives. 
    • Establishes development policies, systems, and procedures.
    • Identifies potential contributors to special project funds and ongoing operations through examination of past                    records, individual and corporate contacts, and knowledge of community.
    • Maintains agency website and social media. 
    • Plans and coordinates events and special fundraising projects
    • Develops donor recognition program.
    • Organizes solicitation drives for pledges of ongoing support from individuals, corporations, and foundations as                needed. 
    • Coordinates CAC facility tours with donors, potential donors, local business, and local leadership. 
    • Researches public and private grant agencies and foundations to identify potential sources of funding.
    • Maintains records of contributors and grants and prepares letters of appreciation to be sent to contributors. 
    • Represents CAC in public speaking opportunities and maintains relationships with media contacts.
    • Represents CAC at community and networking events. 
    • Identifies potential contributors and foster donor relationships. 
      
    Education and Work Experience Requirements: 
    • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; 
    • At least 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
    • Ability to quickly learn software programs such as Constant Contact, Canva and Donor Perfect.  Excellent oral, written, communication and interpersonal skills required.
