Community Development Representative implements the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Community Development Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Then consider joining the Governor's Office of Economic Development (GOED) as a Business Development Representative. As a GOED Business Development Representative, you will work to expand South Dakota's economy and support businesses throughout the state. You will travel extensively to meet with businesses and economic development leaders, identifying and securing "wins" for South Dakota. Are you sales-oriented? Our reps work with the GOED Marketing Team to execute a sales strategy to expand our targeted industries in South Dakota by identifying and proactively recruiting new businesses to the state. Do you have a passion for home-grown local businesses? Our reps also support existing South Dakota businesses, helping them to grow and sustain South Dakota's communities small and large.
This is a forward-facing role and requires frequent in and out-of-state travel.
