Community Development Representative implements the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Establishes and maintains relationships with groups and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Representative develops an understanding of public programs and community needs to ensure effective community outreach and support development. Represents the institution within the community and is a resource for information about products and services that are available. Additionally, Community Development Representative adheres to all operational procedures and complies with Community Reinvestment Act and other regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Community Development Representative occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. We are restoring the McKinney Center to become a vibrant place for the community to connect, work, learn, and thrive.

    The Community Engagement Coordinator (CEC) develops and maintain relationships with current and future tenants and partners, connecting them to our vision and the McKinney Center. Reaches out to mission-aligned community businesses and organizations who are potential tenants, want to offer financial support, or would benefit from a relationship with the CDCPDA. The CEC promotes and hosts tours and plans events to raise the building’s profile and promote our organization. This includes planning and organizing fundraising events, including an annual gala.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    • Lead the development and execution of Community Engagement strategy.
    • Identify potential partnership opportunities and collaboration areas with programs, organizations, and businesses.
    • Develop and execute partnership strategies that align with the organization’s business objectives and drive revenue growth.
    • Design and execute events and programs. Provide vision for sustainable community engagement initiatives across our community and manage these initiatives with extreme attention to detail and a high bar for quality.
    • Support community assessments, identify potential community-related risks, and develop a community engagement plan to proactively mitigate the risks.
    • Conduct property tours for potential partners, donors, and tenants.
    • Oversee neighbor relations, promoting positive relationships between the McKinney Center and the local community.
    • Capture data to demonstrate quantified and qualified impact within the community.
    • Survey partners and tenants for feedback on engagement and relationship with the CDCPDA.

    Education and Experience

    • BA in marketing, non-profit management, communications, community partnerships, or another related field.
    • At least 2 years of Partnership management and/or fundraising experience
    • Event and/or program planning.
    • Experience working within a budget and hiring vendors.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated experience managing schedules and working with deadlines.
    • We welcome equivalent combinations of education and experience.

    The Ideal Candidate May Also Have

    Background of project management.

    Experience with fundraising and program management.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $33.65 - $37.00 per hour
