Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Job Summary

    Our goal is to provide customers and partners the best possible internet experience, backed up by a significant Fiber Internet network upgrade investment. The Community Development Manager will support and lead day-to-day marketing activities throughout a given geographic territory, supporting company growth goals.

    The person in this role will be the first impression of Ziply Fiber, so we are looking for a passionate, personable, and professional individual able to connect the local community with Ziply Fiber and especially the Ziply Fiber sales teams.

    The qualified candidate will be responsible for working with the company Demand Marketing, PR, External Affairs, Operations, and local sales team members to develop and execute marketing plans to reach potential customers and local partners. Additionally, this person will drive relationships with community organizations, apartment managers, and local chambers of commerce as agreed to with the Local Marketing Manager and appropriate sales team.

    Being growth minded, this Community Development Manager will work to understand the market landscape and nuances of each territory, including target audiences, competitors, key organizations or influencers, and the local media.

    Job Duties:

    • Build brand awareness and excitement for the brand in areas soon-to-be-built with fiber internet
    • Build and maintain strong working relationships with community leaders.
    • Integrate into key chambers of commerce or other community-based organizations to ensure Ziply Fiber is part of the community.
    • Support local sales teams by generating customer leads, driving penetration of the internet products
    • Planning and preparing community-based events – local sponsorships, farmers markets, grand openings, or other events.
    • Identifying the most effective and ROI efficient outreach opportunities in the territory.
    • Work with other marketing team members on items needed to support the territory sales.
    • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for local Ziply Fiber properties, as well as recommending general marketing programs and local campaigns in close collaboration with the demand & channel marketing team and key sales counterparts.
    • Working with demand and channel marketing leaders, create and execute asset marketing materials and building-specific marketing strategies.
    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, event planning or related field.
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Aptitude for negotiation, persuasion, and business acumen.
    • Highly motivated, determined, and target driven.
    • Expert in time management and personal organization
    • Reliable Transportation.
    • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with a satisfactory driving record.
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
