Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The SOCC afterschool program is seeking Youth Development Facilitators for weekday afternoons to help youth expand their learning beyond the school day through hands on, engaging learning opportunities. Program begins at 3:00 when school dismisses and closes at 6:00. This opportunity is ideal for retired teachers, those interested in going into the education field, and those interested in working with youth.
Job responsibilities include assisting with homework completion, planning, leading, and supporting enrichment activities, acting as a role model, and supporting student transitions.
Interested candidates can work 1-5 afternoons per week.
