Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Our organization is seeking a results-oriented individual with strong customer service skills and an ability to work independently to become a part of our team. As a Community Manager, you are overseeing a multi-million-dollar business. You will be driving sales and income as a motivational leader to your team. As they say, "the buck stops here", and as such, you take complete ownership and accountability of the team members and property performance. As a leader, you will influence your team to reach their very highest potential every single day. You will oversee the physical asset, leasing, resident relations, marketing, maintenance, construction projects, accounts receivable and payable, vendor relations, recruitment, and team member development.     What will you bring to the table?
    Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a manager in multi-family assets (condominium, high-rise, mid-rise, or garden style properties). Previous management experience in our industry is strongly preferred and desired. Due to the high level of communication with various stakeholders, excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must as you will be a primary communicator for us as we work with new friends that call us home. You will be proficient in computer software including but not limited to: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software, Payroll Software.
