Community Development Manager manages the economic development lending activities to support or subsidize improvements in the community. Ensures company visibility is established in the area and promotes relationships with groups, agencies, and organizations in the community to identify lending and other business development opportunities. Being a Community Development Manager evaluates the current and future credit needs of the community and develops a strong understanding of the local issues and needs. Actively monitors public programs that support community development initiatives. Additionally, Community Development Manager initiates policy changes or enhancements to ensure compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other regulations. Makes recommendations to expand and develop lending programs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Community Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     About the Role:

    We currently have an opportunity for a Transmission Line Maintenance Manager to support the regulated electric transmission business of LS Power. This position will be part of the Transmission Field Services group and will be reporting to the Director of Transmission Field Services.  You will be responsible for managing maintenance functions for transmission line assets in several regions of the US.  This position will plan, schedule and supervise maintenance crews both directly and indirectly.  Work will also include assisting with design standards development, project design reviews, inventory management strategies and support asset management initiatives.    

    Responsibilities

    What you will do:

    • Manage and refine the master maintenance plan for preventative, predictive and periodic maintenance on all transmission lines
    • Plan, coordinate and submit outage requests in cooperation with LSPG Transmission Operations group
    • Direct and indirect supervision of various craft laborers to include linemen, journeymen and construction contractors
    • Develop, maintain and interpret maintenance standards, equipment specifications and work safety guidelines
    • Support the operational and regulatory training requirements related to transmission line operations and maintenance
    • Utilize computerized work management software to create work orders, build job plans, track maintenance, order equipment and other functions as necessary
    • Possess a superior working knowledge and understanding of transmission line construction and maintenance work to be performed by contract personnel
    • Store and maintain appropriate documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory compliance standards
    • Assist with all regulatory reporting and support audits by NERC and regional entities as required

    Qualifications

    • Have experience working within a regulated utility environment
    • Have an understanding of good utility practices for transmission line maintenance standards
    • Have completed OSHA safety training and have a work record exemplifying a commitment to safety

    • Good communication skills
    • Are a critical thinker with strong knowledge of modern software applications
    • Understanding of electric utility business principles, compliance programs
