Community Development Loan Officer oversees the bank's CRA Programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal Community Reinvestment Act banking regulations to meet the credit needs of the area's low to moderate-income populations. Serves as the subject matter expert of CRA laws, rules, and regulations by maintaining a deep and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, proposed legislation, and announcements. Being a Community Development Loan Officer reviews and analyzes lending activity data and practices to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Develops, implements, and administers the overall corporate CRA plan and localized or remedial plans with guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Additionally, Community Development Loan Officer advises management and coordinates with legal staff on the potential impact of actions. Coordinates and delivers reports to bank leadership and regulatory agencies. Ensures the bank has a positive and visible role in community economic development activities, events, and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Community Development Loan Officer work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     Daily responsibilities include:

    • Assembling, preparing, and processing loan packages for consumer loans following company policies and procedures.
    • This position verifies accuracy and completeness of all loan files obtaining proper signatures, dates, and all other relevant data.
    • The qualified candidate would ensure the timely and accurate packaging of all loans originated.
    • Responsibilities include:
    • Gathering information, inputting proper loan information into system for processing, ordering title commitment and appraisals, and preparing all disclosures.
    • Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation falls within the established company, state, and federal lending guidelines.
    • Individual may also be assigned special projects/task as may be deemed necessary.
    • This position is also responsible for updating and maintaining reports.
    • General duties including assistance with customers, problem resolution, phone and written correspondence.

    Qualifications:

    • Extensive PC skills including: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
    • 3 yrs. plus work experience in Loan Processing, Loan specialist, Auditing or a commensurate field.

    • Excellent organization, attention to detail, problem solving skills and time management skills.
    • Super high energy and the ability to multitask in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

    • Must be a self-starter, detail oriented and have the ability to work well under pressure and time constraints.
    • High school graduate or equivalent

    Skills Required:

    Strong Microsoft Computer Skills- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

    Education: At a minimum, a high school diploma, College degree in accounting or finance preferred, but not required.

    Multi-Tasking - Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions and to handle stressful situations with calmness and courtesy.

    Knowledge- Prior knowledge of lending guidelines and regulations is a plus. Good understanding of financial institution products and services.

    Excellent Written Communication – Able to write concise clear letters, reports, and emails.

    Relationship building – Able to establish and maintain a good rapport and cooperative relationship with clients and co-workers.

    Detail Oriented – Able to pay meticulous attention to all aspects of a situation or task.

    Reliability – Must be dependable and trustworthy.
