Community Development Compliance Specialist jobs in Tennessee

Williamson County Government Community Development is accepting applications for a Development Compliance Specialist. This position will assess compliance to County, State and Federal storm water guidelines, ordinances and regulations for proposed land use planning activities in unincorporated Williamson County. Inspects construction sites to ensure compliance with storm water permitting requirements. Applicants must have the ability to communicate with builders, contractors and property owners concerning storm water issues, which may include verbal warnings, written Notices of Violation and issuance of Civil Penalties.

Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, biology, ecology, agricultural science, soil science, environmental science or related field is preferred. Extensive experience in the specific field may be considered in lieu of a Degree.

Applicants for this position should have the qualifications and experience necessary to understand and perform tasks such as those listed above and other similar duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $49,816.00 - $58,614.40 per year
