Community Development Compliance Specialist jobs in Delaware

Community Development Compliance Specialist ensures the organization's adherence with Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) banking laws. Reviews and analyzes lending activity data as well as other activities and policies of the organization to ensure compliance with CRA policies. Being a Community Development Compliance Specialist coordinates the preparation of required government, regulatory, and other compliance documents for all community development activities. Advises management and coordinates with legal staff on potential impact of actions. Additionally, Community Development Compliance Specialist develops and recommends guidelines and standards to assist with compliance. Has current and extensive knowledge of all CRA regulations and policies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Community Development Compliance Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     While our office in New Castle County is located in Middletown, this position works throughout all of New Castle County at various business locations to complete the duties of the position.

    POSITION SUMMARY :

    Apply your talents in networking to build strong relationships and secure employment positions for our participants. You would initiate and maintain contacts with a variety of businesses and industries in order to match the participant to the most appropriate job.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

    • Develop community job leads for assigned individuals meeting their needs, desires, and capabilities.
    • Complete Milestone and Monthly summaries as assigned for funding sources.
    • Initiate and maintain ongoing personal contacts with a variety of business and industry representatives. Contacts must be done in a variety of ways including labor market analysis, on-line, face to face site visits, employer interviews, cold call contacts, informational interviews, group presentations and job developing with the participant.
    • Conduct informational interviews with employers.
    • Collect data / information from employers related to job openings including job requirements and skills.
    • Match applicants to jobs, refer qualified applicants to employers, and conduct necessary follow-up when applicants are placed in jobs.
    • Provide job coaching services as needed.
    • Record and document all activity with participants and job search activity on their behalf which may include case notes, job development logs and daily activity logs.
    • Attend networking opportunities with potential employers to obtain contact information.
    • Attend and actively participate in agency meetings, meetings with managers, and attend initial job development meetings after participant has completed assessments.
    • Create resumes, register participants with email accounts and complete job applications. Monitor and manage participants professional email accounts.
    • Accompany, advocate and market participants skills at interviews. Assist participants with travel and travel related issues such as coordinating travel and travel training as needed.
    • Promptly follow up with employers about applications and job openings.

    Qualifications

    • Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred (four year college or technical school) but not required.
    • 1 plus years of experience in Education, Social Services or Business preferred.
    • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.
    • Possess valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
    • Must have access to an automobile and internet access at home.
    • Able to pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
