    Electronics Technician I

    Job Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to provide test expertise to the Operations team in our Holmdel, NJ location. The successful candidate will perform a variety of semi-routine and complex tasks to ensure production quality standards and goals are met. Responsibilities include performing the assembly, set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of RF circuits, components, instruments, and electromechanical assemblies. Other duties include performing various test set-ups, executing tests, recognizing failures, troubleshooting failures, operating test equipment which includes signal generators, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, vector analyzers, network analyzers, and RF probes in addition to other equipment, and recording test issues either recurrent or unfamiliar and providing recommendations for test and/or procedural changes. The candidate must be willing to travel and work at the Littleton, MA office location for training, with all living and travel expenses paid for by Spirent.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Set up and test multiple subassemblies and final assemblies utilizing various test equipment.
    • Conduct module tests for all assigned products on an independent basis.
    • Conduct unit tests for all assigned products on an independent basis except for minor assistance with the set-up.
    • Conduct system-level tests for all assigned products with minimal assistance.
    • Responsible for debugging recurrent RF issues on a semi-independent basis. Assistance would be required for the debugging of unfamiliar RF issues.
    • Utilize the database to log test failures, reference prior documentation, and review recurrent issues.
    • Document inventory transactions as required.
    • Configure the final assembly of units.
    • Execute process improvement initiatives as instructed.
    • Assist as required in other manufacturing areas (i.e. assembly, physical inventory).

    Job Requirements:

    • Associate degree or technical diploma in Electronics from an accredited institution; or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience.
    • Familiarity with RF test equipment including signal generators, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, vector analyzers, network analyzers, and RF probes.
    • Familiarity with electronic assembly tools.
    • Soldering and assembly skills.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Access and Outlook.
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
