Fleet Manager

    The Fleet Manager works side by side with all departments to ensure the fleet is maintained and all licensing insurance and all other documentation is up to all state and federal requirements.

    • Working in conjunction with all Management teams to purchase vehicles to expand/enhance the fleet.
    • Scheduling regular Maintenance on all vehicles and coordination with all department heads.
    • Ordering urgent or emergency repairs as needed.
    • Establishing efficient routes to transport vehicles.
    • Coordinate drivers and on-staff maintenance professionals.
    • Manage vehicle licensure and registration for all corporate vehicles and equipment as directed along with all DOT and DMV requirements.
    • Ensure all fleet members have proper licensure and up to date training this includes all ELDT training and oversight.
    • Monitor drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driver practices.
    • Team player on the hiring of all drivers.
    • Provide monthly reports to management of budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress.
    • Develop and implement methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency. 
    • Manage drivers in GPSTrackit (adding new drivers or employees and removing past employees to ensure security and admin rights within the GPSTrackit program).
    • Manage maintenance and reporting in GPSTrackit.
    • Ensure and monitor CDL trainers are up to date with their login credentials and are comfortable teaching the ELDT program Hunter has created.
    • Coordinate with the marketing department to ensure all vehicles are wrapped in accordance with brand standards.
    • Work in coordination with the Safety Administrator to perform regular vehicle inspections and ensure that all qualified drivers have all necessary paperwork organized and filed correctly complying with all state and federal guidelines.

    Requirements

    • Prior experience in the trucking or transportation industry is strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office,Google docs, Excel, (Intermediate level) is strongly preferred.
    • Experience with high volume and multiple priorities preferred.
    • Prior experience using Dossier Database Fleet software is preferred, but not required.
    • Prior knowledge or experience with DOT Regulations is preferred, but not required.
    • Prior knowledge of DMV policies and procedures is preferred, but not required.
    • Prior experience with IRP and IFTA filings are preferred, but not required.
    • Proficiency with software, databases, and web programs preferred.
    • Strong time-management, organizational skills, attention to detail.
    • Comfortable working independently and with a team.
    • Comfortable taking responsibility over the duties assigned.


    Working conditions: 

    Office setting but may spend time outdoors inspecting vehicles or supervising the work of mechanics and other fleet personnel. This position would typically work regular business hours but may be required to work past those hours and may be on call to respond to emergencies.
