Communications Editor Supervisor jobs in North Carolina
Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a staff of editors who write, prepare, and review content to be used in company publications. Helps develop, maintain, and implement editorial policies and standards and ensure conformance. Being a Communications Editor Supervisor oversees and reviews the team's work product. Monitors accuracy and ensures documents and materials follow organizational standards and branding. Additionally, Communications Editor Supervisor manages project tasks and timelines. Manages the coordination of production and distribution activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Communications Editor Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. o Attending production meetings.
o Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule and budget and ensuring adherence to these.
o Ensuring safety/quality standards are met.
o Placing orders for materials and is responsible for equipment and materials on site.
o Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
o Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
o Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
o Liaising with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
o Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
o Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
o Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
o Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
o Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
o Meet contractual conditions of performance.
