Monitors accuracy and ensures documents and materials follow organizational standards and branding. Additionally, Communications Editor Supervisor manages project tasks and timelines. Manages the coordination of production and distribution activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the guidance of the Director, Exhibitions, the Editor contributes to the long-range strategic planning of museum publications, manages museum-wide publication projects and edits high quality museum publications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in art history, English, literature, or related field required. Five (5) years of experience as an editor in a university press, trade publishing house, or comparable institution required. Museum experience preferred. Experience managing projects required.
