Monitors accuracy and ensures documents and materials follow organizational standards and branding. Additionally, Communications Editor Supervisor manages project tasks and timelines. Manages the coordination of production and distribution activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Communications Editor Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. DCG Communications (DCG) is seeking a creative and skilled writer/editor to join our rapidly growing communications team supporting a federal client whose mission is to prevent targeted violence and terrorism. The writer/editor will work as part of the communications team responsible for implementing a variety of communication products and tools, proactive strategies, and effective distribution processes. They will be responsible for writing, copy editing, proofreading, and reviewing to ensure all content meets the client’s style guide, applies accurate grammar, and represents the high standards DCG seeks to uphold. Writing new and updating current communication products will also be expected from the Senior Editor.
Our ideal candidate can dive right in; understand the sensitivities and nuances of working with federal clients and provide guidance and teaching to improve our diverse team’s writing and content development.
