    The Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc. in Tallahassee, FL is a statewide, professional industry association that has been in existence for 40 years. Florida ARF dba RESPECT of Florida creates job opportunities for about 1,200 individuals each year through governmental entity purchasing and partnerships with community rehabilitation provider agencies.

    POSITION OVERVIEW

    This is a highly responsible position in the coordination of Florida ARF and RESPECT of Florida’s marketing, communications, social media, and other related operations with emphasis on promoting the organization and programs through various media channels including but not limited to websites, printed materials, brochures, social media accounts, etc. Work is performed under the supervision of the Florida ARF Vice President. Position requires intrastate travel and requires possession of a valid State of Florida Driver’s License, a safe driving record, and personal automobile insurance maintained at levels prescribed in the Florida ARF Personnel & Operational Policies Manual.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design, develop, and distribute consistent themes, messaging, and branding.
    • Create and design digital marketing materials such as social media posts, emails, digital ad campaigns, web design, etc.
    • Manage and execute our social media campaigns through audience identification, benchmarking, competitive research ,and platform determination.

    • Build the visibility of our company’s social media content with page optimization techniques on all social media and search networks.
    • Coordinate media relations, internal, external and/or communications. Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc. for the production and/or editing of images, infographics, photographs, logos, brochures, pamphlets, etc.
    • Ensures the Florida ARF and RESPECT of Florida brands are managed and refreshed where necessary and ensures consistent use across all platforms in terms of look, image, identity and message while ensuring conformance with State of Florida Service Mark registration description.
    • Maintains relationship with DMS staff and systems to ensure compliance and a quality relationship.
    • Maintains effective and positive relations with Florida ARF members and RESPECT employment centers.
    • Assists in the development and implementation of the RESPECT marketing plan.
    • Works closely with internal staff to ensure press, legislative, and public relations opportunities are performed in an integrated manner, and that press communication supports the overall marketing strategy. Makes recommendations regarding press and public relations opportunities.
    • Takes photos of staff, clients, members, employment centers, etc. and manages photo releases.
    • Performs the day to day marketing activity.
    • Participates in sales activities, trade shows, etc., when required.
    • Performs other duties as required.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    Has knowledge and skills in the following areas:

    • Basic knowledge of photo and video editing, as well as web designing.
    • Excellent content writing skills and knowledge of Social Media Marketing channels - Google , Instagram, Canva, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
    • Ability to stay up to date on industry trends and able to stay ahead of the curve.
    • Effective written, oral communication, public speaking skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and handle pressure.
    • Ability and willingness to initiate and adopt changes as necessary.
    • Ability to work independently and act decisively within the boundaries of the position.
    • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, create and maintain effective working relationships.
    • Competency with Microsoft Office products with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and knowledge of computer-aided design programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
    • Ability to take and edit photographs for marketing purposes.
    • Must pass all criminal background clearances.

    EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

    The position requires three or more years of progressive experience in a marketing, communications and/or government relations environment. It also requires a bachelor’s degree with some course work in business. Eight to ten years of directly related work experience can substitute for the education requirements.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    This job operates in a professional office environment in Tallahassee, Florida. This position requires consistent use of office equipment such as computer, phone, printer and scanner, etc.

    POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is a full-time exempt position with regular work hours Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. There may be occasional evening or weekend activities required.

    TRAVEL

    Position requires intrastate travel and requires possession of a valid State of Florida Driver’s License, a safe driving record, and personal automobile insurance maintained at prescribed levels.
