Communications Editor Manager manages a staff of editors who write, prepare, and review content to be used in company publications. Develops, implements, and maintains editorial policies and standards and ensures conformance. Being a Communications Editor Manager reviews the team's work product and gives final approval. Acts as advisor to editing team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Additionally, Communications Editor Manager oversees the coordination of production and distribution activities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Communications Editor Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Communications Editor Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     1. Leadership and Team Management: Direct and lead a team of telecommunications professionals, ensuring high levels of motivation, efficiency, and performance in deploying and maintaining telecom networks and services.
    2. Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance network infrastructure, improve service delivery, and meet the evolving needs of customers within the region.
    3. Budget Management and Cost Control: Oversee financial aspects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control measures, to ensure the financial health of telecommunications operations within the area.
    4. Network Deployment and Maintenance: Supervise the deployment, expansion, and maintenance of telecommunications networks, including cellular, broadband, and fiber optic technologies, to ensure optimal coverage and service quality.
    5. Regulatory Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards related to telecommunications, privacy, and data protection.
    6. Customer Service and Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and resolving issues promptly to maintain high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
    7. Technology and Innovation: Stay abreast of technological advancements and innovations in the telecommunications industry to drive improvements in network performance and customer service.
    8. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor the performance of telecommunications services and infrastructure, reporting on key metrics to stakeholders and implementing improvements as necessary.
    9. Vendor and Contract Management: Negotiate with vendors and manage contracts for telecommunications equipment and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and reliability.
    10. Emergency Response and Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement emergency response plans and disaster recovery strategies to ensure network resilience and continuity of service in the face of disruption
    • Manage a team of Outside Plant Engineers (Project Coordinators)
    • Assign and oversee projects to team members, monitor projects for timely completion, and ensure a high level of quality is met
    • Coach, develop and mentor team members
    • Maintain a monthly financial forecast for project management
