Position Overview:This position supports a new project with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Office of Family Assistance (OFA) Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood (HMRF). VPD is looking for a Sr. Technical Writer and Editor to support HMRF as it develops, implements, and analyzes a social media strategy to promote healthy marriage/relationships among individuals and families across a range of platforms to inspire positive interaction with their partner/spouse.
The individual will be pivotal to a team providing ideas for improving the OFA, Healthy Marriage website, developing resources, and consulting with OFA as OFA establishes a Healthy Marriage/relationships social media presence. As part of the team supporting OFA HMRF the Senior Writer shall have general knowledge of the social sciences and a broad array of topics, including but not limited to, responsible fatherhood, healthy marriage, poverty, child support, high school -aged youth and at-risk youth populations, low-wage labor markets, economic stability, career pathways, family stability, safety net coordination, co-parenting, and family formation. The Senior Writer shall also have excellent written and oral communication, and research sas. The Senior Writer should have familiarity with various relevant software and platforms. This individual shall write, edit, and identify graphics for presentation of information for both technical and non-technical personnel. Organizes material and completes writing assignments with regard to order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
