We at Priests for Life are looking for a talented producer/video editor to record and broadcast programs
from our TV studio and edit recorded footage into shorter usable clips suitable for distribution on
various platforms to advance the vision and mission of our ministry.
This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position at our headquarters in Titusville, FL. No relocation
assistance is offered.
Responsibilities
This position requires you to effectively operate a video camera, as well as audio and production
equipment. This is a fast-paced environment and we need someone who will be highly motivated, a
dedicated team player and bring a positive and energetic outlook to work each day.
Duties
Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is seamless for the audience
Ability to understand our team’s vision, mission, needs and specifications
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
Create rough and final cuts
Ability to take a longer clip and discern short segments that can stand alone to make a complete and
compelling point
Ability to sort through video footage and differentiate evergreen material from dated material
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running
Consult with members of administration and the pastoral team from production to post-production
process
Continuously discover, recommend and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best
practices to maximize efficiency
Requirements
Completion of some formal studies in film, cinematography or related field
Proven work experience as a video editor involving digital technology and editing software packages
(Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
Proficient in video editing with a strong portfolio with knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
Excellent organizational, written and spoken communication skills
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills and the aptitude to build relationships with your co-workers and volunteers
