THE POSITION 

Staccato is seeking a Lead Video Editor to support our growing Marketing team. Reporting to the Senior Producer of Brand and working on the Creative team, you will be an integral part of telling important stories and crafting engaging social content. Working closely with the Content Creator, along with editing, you will inform production plans and schedules for the launches of various long-form and social content. 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES  

 • Intake and process content as it becomes available.
• Assist Content Creator & Graphic Designer with post-production and assets management.
• Advise Content Creator or Content Contractors on ideas and practices for the best results.
• Attend bi-weekly meetings with Creative Team to become familiar with current workflow, planning, and review process.
• Edit video assets and complete all post-production workflows for both long form and social content.
• Assets checklist and synchronization.
• First round of quality control.
• Hit production deadlines from intake to deliverable.
• First round of video sync, trimming, cropping, and slide editing.
• Manage assets with timeline and create pre-production prep in Adobe Premiere.
• Caption submission as needed.
• Assist with online and on-site content recording and post-production deliverables.
• Ideate and create compelling graphics in Adobe After Effects.
• Attend select productions, events, and captures as needed.
• Create timeline outlining asset deliverables. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Previous work as lead Video Editor on projects for commercial use.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Video Suite including Premiere, Media Encoder, & After Effects.
  • Comfortable in team environment, adaptable to priority changes.
  • Experience in social, on-set, interview, and on location content capture.
  • Experience with Sony camera systems & various lighting styles.
  • Knowledge and experience with various LUT's and coloring for video.
  • Expert with workflows in Premiere Pro, After Effects, Media Encoder, other Video Production Suites.
  • Expert with video recording operation including camera operation, audio devices, and general AV.
  • Zoom, YouTube, Instagram, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to evaluate needs for video production and deliverables   effectiveness.
  • Familiar with asset management systems.

  • Strong attention to detail regarding file naming, organization, and spelling.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, inclthe uding ability to explain technical matters. to non-specialists in a clear and effective manner.
  • Process, management, and administrative abilities.
  • This role is on-site at Staccato HQ in Florence, TX.
