Commodity Manager implements a commodity procurement and inventory strategy that supports a company's manufacturing supply chain. Manages the policies and processes to purchase raw materials required to process and manufacture products, conduct research, or enable other business activities. Being a Commodity Manager monitors and analyzes the commodities market, global economic conditions, and events to make informed purchase decisions. Identifies, evaluates, and monitors suppliers and develops relationships to provide reliable sourcing and ensure the quality and availability of required commodities. Additionally, Commodity Manager oversees bidding and contract negotiations to obtain the best pricing to meet commodity needs. Analyzes inventory levels, manufacturing schedules, and long-term business objectives to plan and manage purchases. Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and standards governing the purchase and delivery of goods. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Commodity Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Commodity Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Description/Job Summary

    SUMMARY

    The role will establish and maintain collaborative relationships with business functions to ensure IT services and delivery enhance and reduce the complexity of business processes cost-effectively. The Senior Business Process Manager will facilitate the prioritization, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical application portfolio projects across the enterprise. The position will require working with business stakeholders/users to define the portfolio objectives and maintain quality service relationships throughout their lives.

    This role will establish project management competencies and ensure on-time and on budget delivery. This role includes coordinating the efforts of IT staff and third-party consultants. The Senior Business Process Manager will also recommend and drive process improvement opportunities for mission-critical business systems leveraging enterprise solutions.


    •   We offer a competitive salary with a range of $125,400- $150,750 based on experience and skill set.

    •   This position is eligible to participate in the Signode annual bonus program with a target of 10% of base salary.

    Essential Functions:

    • Establish and maintain relationships with business stakeholders/users – Identifies and establishes relationships with key people appropriate for the circumstance, including executives, managers, and technology users.

    • Ensures Global IT activities meet the needs of the business stakeholders/users –communicates business needs to Signode IT, helps set priorities, coordinates efforts within Signode IT

    • Understands the platform’s application landscape and ensures that a clear support strategy is in place.

    • Understands current and future business needs – Learns and stays current on significant projects, strategies, and initiatives in business functions and divisions.

    • Aligns Corporate IT activities to help business stakeholders/users achieve their objectives.

    • Technology consultant – Understands technology, infrastructure, and applications enough to act as a consultant to business functions and divisions to advise and recommend business strategy, IT strategy, investments, and projects. Brings additional Signode IT resources to help when deeper areas of expertise are needed.

    • Acquisitions and Divestitures – Coordinates acquisition and divestiture activity within Signode IT


    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    Education:

    • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, information systems, business analysis, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be accepted.

    Experience / Abilities:

    • Deep knowledge of one or more of the following business functions, including typical automation requirements and interactions across other business value streams, processes, and functional areas:

    o Finance

    o Human Resources

    o Legal

    o Product Management/ Engineering

    o Manufacturing

    o Logistics (incl. Warehouse Management)

    o Procurement

    o Sales/Service Management

    o Marketing

    o Health and Safety

    • 8 -10 years’ experience working with large-scale enterprise business applications. (E.g., ERP, CAD, HRIS, CRM, PDM, PLM or MDM systems)

    • Previous experience managing or supporting an application consolidation or migration.

    • Demonstrated experience analyzing and assessing business processes, prioritizing, and developing IT solutions for complex business situations.

    • Ability to build, develop, and grow business relationships vital to the project’s success.

    • Results-oriented, highly motivated, and able to complete assignments promptly and accurately.

    • Strong demonstrated decision-making skills and leadership.

    • Possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a diverse and multicultural environment.

    • Global industrial/manufacturing company background preferred.

    • Experience managing people and directing resources.

    Computer skills:

    • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics ERPs: AX, NAV, and F&SCM preferred.
