Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant assists the store manager with the day-to-day operations of a commercial tire store/center. Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient. Being a Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant manages the tire center in absence of the manager. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Commercial Tire Store Manager Assistant typically reports to a store manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Candidates with lube tech, mechanic, or other automotive backgrounds will thrive.Responsibilities- Reviews repair order requests and makes visual inspections of vehicles to determine the extent of tire service requirements and materials needed
- Performs tire replacement or minor maintenance services
- Opportunity for other mechanical tasks, based on your experience
- Test tire balances to ensure proper weight placement
- Reviews service with customer
- Complies with Company Quality Control Program, Company Safety Policy, OSHA and EPA regulations
Desired Qualifications- High school graduate, comparable vocational training or 6 months of tire technician experience
- Commercial vehicle skills and good general knowledge and or experience preferred.
- Driver's License Required
- Preferred Experience:
- Familiarity with tire and lube requirements and specifications
- Knowledge of Mitchell Repair and All-Data
- Knowledge of tire requirements to include use of wheel balancers, tire specifications, Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems, and some drivability diagnostic experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot customer needs and inspect vehicles as needed
- Ability to work non-standard hours
