Commercial Tire Service Manager manages the service staff to effectively meet customer requirements and minimize service related expenses. Assigns jobs within the service center and dispatches road and fleet service according to customer requests or established requirements. Being a Commercial Tire Service Manager makes recommendations for hiring, firing and disciplining of service techs. Trains service technicians and conducts new hire orientation; schedules other training as required. Additionally, Commercial Tire Service Manager ensures that company policies are being followed with regard to safety, DOT and established operating procedures. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 4-6 years experience with extensive knowledge of auto repair and shop management skills, including scheduling, inventory purchasing, expense control and customer service. What will you do as a Commercial Service Manager?
Manage all of the operational components of the commercial service store, including inventory, personnel, reporting, etc.
Experience in employee management, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
Experience in financials within retail/tire/automotive to include driving sales and service standards, budget management, and profitability targets.
Set a high customer service and support standard for internal and external customers.
Manage a team of commercial service tire technicians.
Fleet management including the cleaning, maintenance, and service of the commercial service trucks.
Meet and exceed STS safety protocols and standards.
Provide sales, service, and support to new and existing customers throughout the wider territory.
Dispatch, scheduling, and fleet management.
Recruit, train, manage, and support the entire commercial service tire store, fleet, and team.
Work in partnership with the Retail Manager, local businesses, local unions, and public sector organizations.
Drive the sales and growth of the commercial service team.
Uphold the safety requirements and protocols to ensure every team member is within guidelines and is working in a safe environment.
Requirements
When/Where will you work?
Based in Auburn, Washington; our service supports the Greater Puget Sound area. Operational times for the Commercial Service team are Monday-Saturday in-store, management of the 24/365 on-call and after-hours service team.
Are you a good fit?
We are looking for driven, enthusiastic, detail-oriented individuals with experience in automotive, mechanical, repair, tire, and service industries. Ideally, you will have at least five years of experience in management in the automotive/repair/service industry. We provide complete training and certifications for our team.
We need someone who has computer skills including MS365/Office, email, and database software. You will be writing reports, analyzing financials and data, correspondence, and using manuals. Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, to assess and best support customer’s needs, and partner with other team members.
Requirements: Three (3) to five (5) years of commercial service/fleet/tire/automotive experience, a valid, unrestricted driver’s license, ability to lift 40-lbs, strong physical dexterity, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, ability to operate hand, power, and air compression/hydraulic tools, successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Certifications: Forklift and TIA preferred.
Physical Requirements and Working Environment: Employees are regularly required to lift 40-lbs, stand, walk, use of both hands, arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling as required. Employees are regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions, vibrations, working near moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles, possible exposure risk to electrical shock, elevated noise and sounds within the working environment.
