Downtown Portland real estate company, looking for an experienced individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist. The candidate will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of organization and attention to detail, exhibit exceptional communication skills, proficient knowledge of computers, have the ability to work independently and cooperatively with others in the office, and show an ability to learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process accounts payable.
• Answer all vendor inquiries.
• Tenant billings.
• Assist in month end processes.
• Reconcile bank statements by comparing statements with general ledger.
• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
• Act as backup to Front Desk/Office Admin position.
• Provide assistance and support to other company personnel as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 3 years-related experience in accounting and accounts payable.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal/written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, problem solving skills and attention to detail are required.
• Able to work well under pressure, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team oriented.
• Positive, proactive work ethic and approach.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Flexible and able to multitask.
• Customer service focused and solution oriented.
• Proficient in MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
• Real Estate experience preferred.
• Yardi or similar property management software a plus.

This is a full-time, in-office position in downtown Portland reporting directly to the Controller. This position is Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM and is not eligible for remote work.
