    SUMMARY

    This position is responsible for overseeing the preparation and execution of commercial loan packages and maintaining all necessary loan documentation; will assist one or more commercial loan officers, handling loans that are confidential and complex in nature; all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Review and prepare loan packages and documentation following underwriting guidelines and policies.
    • Prepare various loan documents to protect the bank's security position. This documentation may include, but not be limited to, various types of Promissory Notes, Affidavits, Extensions and Amendments, Security Agreements, Addendums, and Mortgages.
    • Screen incoming visitors and telephone calls, respond to and write routine correspondence, memos, and reports for loan officers; file documents and correspondence; maintain commercial loan files.
    • May be required to meet with customers and close small business loans.
    • Periodically balance commercial loan general ledger accounts.
    • Compile and prepare month-end and quarter-end reports that are reviewed at the monthly Board of Directors meetings.
    • Process and review loans on Jack Henry Browser and Xperience for accuracy.
    • Order third-party loan documentation such as title searches or commitments, credit bureau reports, flood determinations, collateral insurance with proper coverage as requested for loan officers, etc.
    • Follow up on the collection of pending loan documentation and assist loan officers with the delivery and processing of documents.
    • Prepare and send notices on denied credit applications.
    • Prepare and process Advances, Transfers, and Pay downs on commercial, agricultural, and floor plan lines of credit.
    • Provide customer service assistance with problem resolution, billing, account, or loan servicing inquiries.
    • Help cross-train and assist colleagues in the Commercial Loan and Credit Departments.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • This position requires the individual to work independently, with little supervision. The position will generally work for one or more senior bank officers and will be required to multi-task between several officers and work under tight deadlines.
    • Must be able to apply job knowledge to discern when exceptions should be made and when supervisor's or officer's supervisor's approval is needed.
    • This position requires an individual that possesses a high degree of professionalism and will deal with a wide variety of people both within and outside of the bank. All of these encounters require a friendly and helpful attitude.
    • Must have high attention to detail, focus on deadlines, and the willingness to share knowledge with others.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.


    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to interpret from simple to complex legal documents to determine borrower's compliance and eligibility for future draws and advances.
