    Magnolia Bank is currently seeking applicants for Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant in the Norwalk CT office.
    Qualified Candidates will be responsible for:
    • Maintain open communication with loan officers, attorneys, title companies, realtors, insurance agencies, etc. to ensure proper and timely processing of mortgage files.
    • Collect asset documentation, financial and income documentation as required from borrowers
    • Order preliminary title and appraisal reports
    • Provide customers with required documents to comply with bank regulations, including but not limited to Loan Estimates, Closing Disclosures and other Real Estate Settlement and Procedures Act (RESPA) documents.
    • Request borrower information needed for underwriter evaluation
    • Organize information for loan files and ensure information is in the correct order for underwriters
    • Track the progress of each loan in process and obtain any addition information needed for underwriter evaluation
    • Comply with all Agency and Federal regulations concerning secondary market mortgage lending

    Applicants MUST meet the following minimum requirements to be considered:
    • High School Diploma
    • College courses relating to business, finance, and insurance is preferred
    • Minimum four years Mortgage lending experience
    • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, email software and the use of the internet
    • Must have experience with Secondary Market software products such as Encompass and automated underwriting engines such as Desktop Underwriter.

    This position reports to the Mortgage LPO Branch Manager.
