Being a Commercial Loan Officer approves loans within established limits or presents to loan committee for approval. Monitors and maintains existing commercial loan portfolio. Additionally, Commercial Loan Officer adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal risk and operating policies and procedures. May assist senior loan officers with larger or more complex loans. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Commercial Loan Officer work is closely managed. Responsibilities:
- Follow established procedures & policies in securing & analyzing commercial and consumer loans.
- Minimize potential loan losses through frequent review of delinquency reports & changes of financial ratios that could indicate potential losses.
- Work to market new & existing products according to the Bank's strategic plan.
- Provide superior customer service & contribute to an environment of teamwork & excellence, through effective communication & cooperation.
- Actively participate in cross-selling Bank services to new & existing customers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of related experience and/or training.
