Commercial Loan Clerk, Sr. jobs in Houston, TX

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Obtain loan memo, worksheet, and other documents from loan officer after proper approval from the management or Executive Committee.
• Calculate loan interest, loan payment amount, APR, escrow payment etc. based on the term on the loan memo or worksheet.
• Prepare loan documents for CD, letter of credit and commercial loans and obtain customer’s signature, or send out the package to Dallas, Austin branch for signature.
• Prepare instruction and loan information for Real Estate and SBA Loans and send them out to the attorneys for RE loan documentation.
• Prepare checklists for all loans to be closed.
• Review loan documents prepared by attorney and instructed attorney to send to the title company.
• Open title with title company.
• Contact surveyor to order survey.
• Perform flood, UCC, tax, entity, franchise tax search for new and renew loans.
• Communicate with title company, attorney, loan officer to get loan closed.
• Submit signed loan package goes to funding officer for review and approval for funding and booking.
• Prepare and send out appraisal and EPA reports to borrowers.
• To assist Note Dept to resolve post-closing issues and exceptions.
• Prepare loan closing status report weekly.
• Take up Ad Hoc assignments.

• Cooperates with management and peers to accomplish team and Bank goals.
• Must be a team player and ability to resolve problems and conflicts
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, and/or Power Point

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
• Advance knowledge of lending operations and closing procedures preferred
