    Job Summary:  The Commercial Lender I will maintain and generate quality commercial, agricultural, and consumer loans all while ensuring bank customer satisfaction.

     

    Education/Experience:  A minimum of the following education/experience is required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a lending or credit type field.   

     

    Job Specific Responsibilities:

    • Interviews applicants to determine loan requirements and gathers pertinent information for loan applications.
    • Analyzes applicant’s financial status, credit, and asset evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan, establishes credit limit through written and/or oral assessment.
    • Resolves uncertainties relating to customer application information through inquiries with applicant or creditors.
    • Structure loans within loan policy. Approves loan within specified limits or champions loan opportunities for proper approval.
    • Maintains a positive working relationship with customers, bank staff, local professionals, centers of influence, and community organizations.
    • Participates in community and professional organizations and events.
    • Manage loan portfolio including renewals, modifications, updated credit analysis, collections, and portfolio monitoring.
    • Maintains and/or generates a loan portfolio with a mixture of loans that represent the local market.
    • Coordinates the Banking needs for customers while cross sells bank products.
    • Maintains credit quality in loan portfolio.
    • Serves as an Officer of the Bank.
    • Grows loan and deposit portfolio and manages the overall portfolio.
    • Develops new business.
    • Manages past due loan accounts.
    • Other duties as assigned.
