    Summary: 

    Reporting to the EVP/Chief Lending officer and working with Business Development officers, meet with customers and take loan applications.  Demonstrate an understanding of what financial information is needed to comply with the Bank’s loan policy and underwriting requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    Review all loan documentation for accuracy and compliance with bank loan policy and regulatory requirements.

    Prepare presentation for Loan Committee meetings and Board of Directors meeting following standardized Bank format. 

    Exercise judgement when completing the Compliance reporting page for each loan request.  Understand and adhere to the Community Reinvestment Act and Regulation B.

    Work independently to complete renewal letters, reports, collateral support documents, commitment letters, letters of credit and denial notices.  Accuracy is of considerable importance.

    Obtain information related to the loan underwriting process including: Ordering credit reports, appraisals, preliminary title reports, UCC searches, environmental studies, flood certification, insurance information, location survey and any other required reports.  Review information in accordance with the Bank’s loan policy and loan approval.  Determine if additional information is needed to effectively protect the Bank’s interest.

    Prepare disbursement worksheets, prefunding packages, loan documentation checklists and other communications necessary to properly document the credit files.

    Review loan documents prepared by attorneys and the Bank’s loan documentation area for accuracy and validity. 

    Request financial analysis from Credit Department.

    Following Bank Loan Policy, review loan applications not requiring loan committee approval with Sr. VP, Business Development for approval. May meet with customers for settlement of loans.

    Package completed loan settlement documents to Loan Department.  Use judgement to determine if all necessary documentation was obtained.

    Order loan documents from Loan Department needed for in-house loan settlements and hold settlements with customers.

    Assist the Loan Department with the collection of annual financial statements and tax returns for existing loans and lines of credit.

    Assist the Loan Department with acquiring any missing loan documents for completion of a Loan file.

    Exercise discretion and judgement when responding to customer inquiries and concerns.

    Administer additional banking relationships for established commercial customers.

    Maintain a general knowledge of all services offered by the Bank.

    Demonstrate a complete understanding of the Bank Secrecy Act and SAR and Harford Bank security procedures.

    Demonstrate a complete and thorough understanding of the Bank’s loan and appraisal policies.

    Maintain security of customer information and adhere to the Privacy Policy.

    Demonstrate an understanding of the Bank’s risk ratings.

    Complete required compliance modules.

    Responsible for reading all internal communications distributed within the Branch.

    Demonstrate professional image and adhere to the bank’s dress code.

    Understand and comply with all bank policies.

    Understand and comply with all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act, SARs, and Harford Bank security procedures.

    Maintain security of customer information and adhere to the Privacy Policy

    Complete all required annual compliance training requirements.

     

     

    Qualifications


    High school or equivalent; college business courses beneficial

    Minimum of 5 years in a lending operations environment.

    Special Skills: Keyboard skills, ability to use a personal computer and working knowledge of Microsoft Office database and spreadsheet applications. Experience with FIS and deposit software preferred.

    Strong interpersonal skills.

    Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    Strong attention to detail and the ability to proof work.

    Knowledge of general accounting principles and loan terminology.

     

    Responsible for understanding the Bank's BSA/AML Policy, including satisfactory completion of required annual BSA/AML training as applicable to position and appropriately applying this knowledge to daily activities and responsibilities, specifically understanding that any suspicious activity must be reported to the BSA Officer immediately.
