Has knowledge of proper food handling procedures and government regulations regarding the food code. Additionally, Combined Food Preparation and Service Worker requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Combined Food Preparation and Service Worker possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as cutting, chopping, and peeling ingredients
- Following food packaging guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the food preparation area
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry or related field
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary requirements
- Ability to handle knives and kitchen tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Required Skills:
- Food handling experience
- Previous work as a line cook or similar
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Comfortable using knives and other kitchen tools
- Attention to detail, common sense, and ability to pivot based on ingredient availability
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
