Combined Food Preparation and Service Worker jobs in Morgantown, WV

Lakin Hospital, a state operated, long-term care facility, is currently looking for Food Service Workers in West Columbia, WV!

These positions are temporary with the possibility to obtain permanent, full-time employment.

Position Summary

Will perform entry level work in the preparation and/or service of food to patients, employees, or customers. May substitute for host or hostess in seating diners and receiving payment of checks. Performs related work as required.

Example of Work

• Assists cook in preparation of food.
• Washes and cleans dishes, pans, and equipment used in the preparation of food.
• Serves food to diners, tableside or cafeteria-style.
• Cleans the dining room thoroughly including floors, tables, etc.
• Assembles and delivers trays for patients in a hospital.
• Stocks shelves.
• Assists in inventories and maintenance of consumables and other items.
• Disposes of trash.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of food handling and preparation health rules.
• Knowledge of equipment used in the preparation and service of food.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Ability to follow written and oral instruction.

Special Requirement: Applicant must furnish an approved food handler's certificate within seven days after appointment.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
