Westminster College (“College”), located in Fulton, Missouri, is seeking an enthusiastic, strategic, and experienced Vice President, Alumni Affairs and Development (“Vice-President”) to lead its alumni engagement and development efforts.
The Vice President reports directly to the President of the College and is a key member of the President’s Cabinet. As the chief fundraising officer, the incumbent plays a central role in leading development operations with the purpose of maximizing philanthropic support in alignment with the College’s values, aspirations, and priorities. The Vice President will provide leadership and direction for the advancement office, including principal and major gift development, annual giving, alumni engagement, advancement services, and stewardship. The Vice President works closely with the Board of Trustees (“Board”), providing staff support for its Board Development Committee (“Committee”), and the Alumni Council (“Council”).
Founded in 1851, Westminster College has a rich tradition of alumni engagement and support. Originally established by Presbyterians as a men’s institution, today the College enrolls a co-ed residential class of approximately 600 students pursuing degrees in the liberal arts. About 50% of the student body is affiliated with the Greek community and 60% involved with intercollegiate athletics. The campus is situated on a beautiful stretch of hills in the central Missouri town of Fulton, about 90 minutes from St. Louis, 30 minutes from Columbia, Missouri and 30 minutes from the state capital in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Education: Master’s Degree in appropriate field such as Higher Education Administration, Marketing, and/or Communications required. Doctorate degree preferred.
Experience: Ten years of progressively successful development experience with a track record of building comprehensive fundraising programs, including capital campaigns, and similar plans that achieve demonstrated results. Demonstrated management and oversight experience in principally three traditional areas of institutional advancement to include Development, Alumni Relations and Communications is required. Strong supervisory experience that demonstrates the ability to lead, coach, and develop staff. Demonstrated record of attention to detail for donor correspondence, information and agreements, annual communications and other donor requests and similar matters.
