Indian Creek ASC has 7 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms and provides patients with services in Orthopedics, General Surgery, ENT, GI and Pain. ICC ASC is a fast-paced, high volume outpatient surgery center that provides exceptional care to surgical patients.
Indian Creek ASC is seeking an experienced Collections Specialist with a diverse skillset. The Collections Specialist is responsible for maintaining the Accounts Receivable at an acceptable range determined by facility leadership. The Collections Specialist is also responsible for accurately entering and posting insurance and patient payments and contractual write-off amounts into the medical software system (HST). The Collections Specialist will audit payor remittances for correct reimbursement and will make inquiries to payors to correct errors. The Collections Specialist must be detail-oriented and organized, and demonstrate excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills. Additionally, the candidate must be self-motivated, goal-oriented and driven to meet facility determined benchmarks for A/R collections. The Collections Specialist is required to handle patient inquiries in a timely manner, and is expected to cross-train to other duties in the facility as needed.
Required experience/skills/education
High school diploma or GED required; college or technical school preferred
Minimum of two years account receivables experience with local payor market, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center, acute care hospital or medical practice is required
Experience with Epic, HST or other medical billing software is preferred
