Collateral Manager leads a team of appraisers conducting assessments, valuations, and appraisal reviews of real estate, land, and other personal property to establish the market value generally used for lending, insurance, or other purposes. Establishes processes for conducting on-site inspections of property and data collection required to perform valuations. Being an Collateral Manager follows generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Ensures appraisal documentation and appraiser certification comply with all regulations. Additionally, Collateral Manager performs appraisal quality reviews to ensure appropriate valuation and minimize risk. Creates process efficiencies with appraisal software tools and databases. May require a bachelor's degree. Has the Member of the Appraisal Institute (SRPA) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a director. The Collateral Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Collateral Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     SUMMARY: Ultimate responsibility for the overall operations of their branch / department. Works closely with other managers and executive leadership.

    • Will lead branch/department by demonstrating leadership which will include engaging with staff in the branch/department, training, problem solving, and assisting customers as needed.
    • Interview, hire, evaluate, discipline and motivate appropriate personnel.
    • Delegate job responsibilities efficiently and insure that delegated tasks are carried out properly.
    • Work closely with company leadership in developing and meeting company goals and objectives.
    • Ensures all areas of responsibility are survey ready at all times.
    • Knowledgeable of and responsible for current company policies and procedures as they relate to the above duties.
    • Accountable to manage to budget and adjust operations to meet financial performance.
    • Must maintain a genuine care and concern for patients and their families.
    • Collaborates and supports sales/referral relationships.
    • Assists with Performance Improvement activities and outcomes.
    • Oversee daily activities of the warehouse to ensure our customer’s needs are met.
    • Manage customer service requests promptly and resolve issues quickly.
    • Communicate with dispatch and drivers to ensure efficient delivery of products.
    • Manage an accurate inventory.
    • All other duties as assigned by Management.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES

    This position will supervise either one or multiple locations and departments.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive and positive with internal and external customers and coworkers. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    Education and/or Experience

    • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). A college degree preferred.
    • Five (5) years of experience or combination of experience/education preferred.
    • Leadership experience preferred.
    • Must have a background in the home medical equipment industry, including equipment, payer sources and legal aspects and/or training.

    Skills & Abilities

    • Must command a strong knowledge of the DME industry, services, and, operations with a good knowledge of medical terminology. 
    • Must be able to work with all levels of staff and be able to delegate and follow-up. 
    • Sound organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize and multi-task to ensure deadlines are met
    • Ability to creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated ability to anticipate business needs, think proactively and respond appropriately
    • Exhibit a sense of urgency and focus on results
    • Self-motivated  and disciplined team player
    • Detailed oriented and able to oversee details in all operating and general personnel positions within the company. 
    • Able to communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing.
    • Professional self-presentation
    • Willing to work varying schedules as business dictates

    Language Skills

    English (verbal, written)

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using a calculator.

    Analytical & Problem Solving Ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
