Collateral Appraiser conducts commercial real estate appraisals and property ratings to establish the market value generally used for investment guidance, lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting and documenting on-site property inspections. Being an Collateral Appraiser performs data collection and research on building permits, prior assessments, and relevant market and economic conditions that impact property value. Reviews building plans and specifications and investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Additionally, Collateral Appraiser uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Collateral Appraiser occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The candidate for the Collateral Associate position must exhibit a strong understanding of Collateral Management Operations and its application to the CFTC and SEC bilateral Non-Cleared Swap transactions by carrying out Jefferies Policy and Procedures while applying ISDA best practices. The Collateral Management team is responsible for the margining of the following business streams:
The Collateral Associate will be responsible for daily processing of ISDA Master-Credit Support Annex and Broadridge Collateral Account set up, OTC Collateral Call issuance and processing of Anticipated Demands for Counterparty Collateral, initiate collateral transfer payments and receipts for Liquidity Management, month-end Collateral Interest processing, and portfolio reconciliation. The candidate should have exposure and understanding to the following derivatives products:
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent service to internal and external customers; exposure to Smartstream TLM Collateral, TriOptima triResolve, and Broadridge is a plus. Should exhibit excellent interpersonal and PC skills.
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000.
