Collateral Appraiser conducts commercial real estate appraisals and property ratings to establish the market value generally used for investment guidance, lending, insurance, or other purposes. Follows standard processes for conducting and documenting on-site property inspections. Being an Collateral Appraiser performs data collection and research on building permits, prior assessments, and relevant market and economic conditions that impact property value. Reviews building plans and specifications and investigates the quality of the construction, the overall condition of the property, and the surrounding location. Additionally, Collateral Appraiser uses generally accepted appraisal practice concepts and practices to perform data analysis, develop valuation estimates, and write comprehensive reports and exhibits. Utilizes appraisal software tools and databases. Ensures that reports comply with required policies, formats, and regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. May require the Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) or similar designation. Requires a State Appraiser License. Typically reports to a manager. The Collateral Appraiser occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. As an Appraiser for Brezina Claim Associates, Inc., you will serve as a field auto damage appraiser knowledgeable of auto body mechanics. You will provide claims service and technical expertise regarding physical damage losses. You will evaluate first and third party total or repairable losses in accordance with the terms and conditions of corporate guidelines, policy contracts and existing insurance laws and regulations.
Qualified candidates need to possess:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of relevant physical damage appraisal experience.
• Experience and/or working knowledge of estimating evaluation systems.
• Computer literacy in a Windows operating environment.
• Ability to acquire and maintain applicable appraisal/adjuster’s license.
• Ability to meet all Brezina Claims safety driving requirements.
• Driving record verifiable through MVR.
• Ability to regularly lift 30 lbs.
Preferred experience includes:
• Knowledgeable of CCC Pathways estimating platform.
• Ability to complete appraisals on site, in most weather conditions.
• Willingness to handle volume in outlying areas that may deem extended hours.
• ICAR certification.
Qualified applicants must successfully complete a pre-employment background.
