Description Responsible for the supervision and successful operation of Coiled Tubing Equipment and associated support equipment on location and successful execution of assigned work at the well site.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of a team of 3-5 Coiled Tubing Equipment Operators.

Communicate effectively with management, client and crew in the planning, coordination and execution of service.

Builds and sustains customer relationships.

Assists with service improvement efforts by observing performance of operating crews and suggesting improvements and changes to management.

Advises on specific servicing problems and recommends use of specialized tools, techniques, and services.

Supports management in daily activities of Coiled Tubing operations in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.

Works with managers and coordinators through performance appraisals and feedback sessions to ensure that each individual is performing up to the standards set and to take necessary corrective action when necessary.

Operates fluid pumps and associated equipment without supervision.

Operates nitrogen pumps and associated equipment without supervision.

Operates coiled tubing units and associated equipment without supervision.

Mobilizes equipment by driving coiled tubing units (preferred), pump trucks, N2 trucks, transports, or pickup trucks to the job location.

Conducts the pre-job and post-job inspections and testing of the coiled tubing units, N2 units, fluid pumps and other ancillary equipment by completing pre and post job inspections.

Conducts the maintenance and general upkeep of the coiled tubing units and related equipment.

Maintains a safe work area or job site by following MAESs standard operating procedures.

Monitors, inspects and adjusts all major equipment during operations to ensure the equipment's adequate operation, such adjusting pump and injection rates.

Trains operators and assistants in equipment operations and procedures.

Delegates certain job tasks during job operation.

Completes computer tasks such as: Accurate job tickets, daily logs, pre- and post- job reports, JSA's and other documentation as required.

Travel This position may from time to time require travel out of the area.

Qualifications

Position Requirements This position requires the employee to have completed a minimum of 5 years of Coil Tubing Experience. In addition, the employee must have completed all of the required "Skills" training for the Senior Equipment level before being eligible for advancement to this level.

High school diploma/G.E.D (preferred) or equivalent.

Knowledge of fluid pumps and associated equipment including proficiency in the proper start up of equipment, initiation of pumping, switching tanks, maintaining proper rate and pressure as per job requirements and/or procedures

Knowledge of nitrogen unit operations including proficiency in proper start, cool down of unit, initiation of pumping, transfer of liquid nitrogen between tanks, maintenance of flow rate and pressure as per job requirements and/or procedures

Demonstrated proficiency in making appropriate adjustments to pumping equipment based on job conditions, such changes may include adjustments relating to rate, temperature, or pressure during the job.

The ability to perform in field repair of equipment. These abilities would include re-packing fluid pumps, re-build chokes, field dress BOP's and packoffs

Demonstrated proficiency in the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment in the field. Abilities would include diagnosing downhole complications and troubleshooting surface equipment.

Valid CDL with hazardous material endorsement

Ability to work a "24 hour on call" schedule

Ability to perform calculations related to well bore volumes, capacities and coil tubing capacities.

Good knowledge of downhole tools related to Coil Tubing.
