Summary:

Carolina Duct Fabrication, a subsidiary company of Edwards, Inc. is looking to hire a CNC Coil Line Operator. The CNC Coil Line Operator is required to perform sheet metal (HVAC) operations on CNC controls and operations, execute production orders and identify labeling and tracking of parts. The CNC Coil Line Operator reports to the Duct Shop Foreman and does not supervise personnel. This position is located in Spring Hope, NC and is non-exempt.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Loading production coils onto un-coiler and setting up the coil line for the burn table.
• Fabrication of HVAC ducts for commercial and industrial use.
• Assist with fabrication of high, medium and low velocity duct (HVAC).
• Assist the shop supervisor with paperwork such as project startup, production, and close outs.

Qualifications:

• CNC / Duct Fabrication Experience
• Mechanically inclined - must be able to troubleshoot and repair the CNC equipment.
• Forklift operation (preferred)
• Able to communicate with others in a professional and courteous manner.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Two-year college or trade school in CNC Machining/Fabrication (preferred)

Working Conditions and Environment:

• This is a full-time position. The standard work hours are 7:30am-5:30pm Monday - Thursday. Occasional Friday and weekend work is required.
• Work Environment includes a fabrication shop setting.
• Physical requirements include, but are not limited to:
  • The ability to lift and push heavy objects up to 50lbs.
  • Continually walk/stand on surfaces which may be even, uneven, stable, unstable, and of varying compositions
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
