Chef's Special Cocktail Bar is hiring a Server. 

You need to have prior restaurant experience, be attentive, thoughtful and fast on your feet. We are a busy American-Chinese restaurant with about 30 seats on the patio and 60 inside. This position is part of a fully pooled house. That means we gather tips collectively and distribute them based on an individual's position by the number of hours worked. This method reflects our team-focused atmosphere. Although people have their individual roles, each position is working to support one another in order for us to have a successful service. 

The Server position engages with guests directly and requires someone with charisma, confidence, and an established basic knowledge of food & beverage, as a foundation to learn about our specific offerings. We are looking for a candidate who loves food and beverage, and is passionate about hospitality & strives to create a memorable experience for our guests.

Our team is made up of open-minded, smart and creative individuals. We are looking for candidates who not only will work hard along our side,  but have stories, jokes and a personality to share while they do it. 

Daily Tasks Include:

• Set up the dining areas for service
• Be able to multi-task and remain poised on the floor
• Be proficient in Toast POS to take and submit orders to the kitchen & bar
• Become an expert on our menu offerings, food & bev
• Work in a team environment
• Follow appropriate allergy procedures
• Keep your work station clean
• Complete assigned sidework
• Perform tableside wine-service
• Run drinks
• Help run food
• Give attentive, efficient and friendly service while showcasing your individual personality 

Must have:

• 2 years of direct service experience
• Basset and Food Handler’s certifications up to date
• A comprehensive understanding of food & beverage service 
• Experience using a POS terminal (Toast preferred) 
• Weekend (incl Sunday) and Holiday (incl. Christmas) availability
